The subtitle is: An award-winning educator's rules for discovering the successful student in every child. This guy's enthusiasm is infectious, even in a book. You can tell he's a great teacher. You can be a successful student; your child can be a successful student. Most of the book is about good etiquette (believe it or not), because that leads directly to self-respect, and respect for others, and a positive environment in which to succeed. These 55 rules will improve your grades, and change your life. This book is for students, teachers, and parents.
One of his students says, "Mr. Clark gave me like the strength to be somebody. That's what I'm going to be, somebody. I'm not going to be nobody. I'm going to be somebody." The student believes in himself/herself. Why? Because the teacher believes in the student, all of the students, when nobody else does. This book does not get down to the mechanics of learning. But it does tell you where to start, it starts with respect.
