Earl Derr Biggers wrote six Charlie Chan mystery novels: The House Without A Key, The Chinese Parrot, Behind That Curtain, The Black Camel, Charlie Chan Carries On, and Keeper Of The Keys. Each of these books is a wonderfully told story (much better and more serious than the movies), and Charlie Chan is a great character. And yet, these books are often out of print.
Read these books. I think they are as good as Sherlock Holmes or Agatha Christie. Honest. It is about time that this series made its comeback, and took it's rightful place among the great books.
