The Dinotopia Series - by James Gurney and others

Book Review, © Copyright 2003, Jim Loy

First there was Dinotopia: A Land Apart from Time, a showcase for Mr. Gurney's great paintings of people and dinosaurs living in harmony. The three picture books (one includes a board game) are all excellent, and should delight people of all ages. And Alan Dean Foster has written two story books for teenagers (and adults), with are longer, and very good, with no pictures. Finally, there are many story books for children, fun for adults too, except that a few of the characters are very childish in many ways.
