The Imponderables Series - by David Feldman

Book Review, © Copyright 1999, Jim Loy

This delightful series began in 1986, with Imponderables: The Solution to the Mysteries of Everyday Life, with expert answers to "Why are some pistachios died red?", "What causes the holes in Swiss cheese?", and many other questions. Now there is a whole slew of these books. Send your questions to Imponderables, Box 24815, Los Angeles, CA 90024 or feldman@imponderables.com or www.imponderables.com. They do need your help. The books:

Concerning When Did Wild Poodles Roam the Earth?, part of the expert response was: "While there is no such thing as a stupid question, this one comes very close." Most of the experts got up on the correct side of the bed. Mr. Feldman also wrote How to Win at Just About Anything and Who Put the Butter in Butterfly? (about the English language).
