Jackson Pollock was an abstract painter. He was most famous for his drip paintings, in which he dripped paint onto a canvas, usually with a stick. See Lavender Mist, one of his paintings, at the WebMuseum. I like some of these paintings. I searched for a book of his paintings. While a few of his paintings are found in many books on modern art, I only found one book dedicated to Pollock and his paintings.
This book is a children's book, with cartoons depicting the story of Pollock's life. It is part of a series, called "Getting to know the world's greatest artists." Quite a few of his paintings are shown here, as well as a few by artists who influenced him. The book is thin, but good.
A much bigger and even better book, which has gone out of print, and now back in print, is Jackson Pollock by Ellen G. Landau.
