Note: These are programs that you can play against. The ACBL (http://www.acbl.org) lists services on the Internet which allow you to play other human beings over the Internet. Some of the programs here allow network/modem play. I have not tested these features. If you are interested in this, contact the developers for details.

This is my first review since July. I am informed that, in Europe, prices of USA programs are much more expensive than shown here, as much as $30 more.

SKILL RANKINGS (determined by short matches & bidding quizzes) I think that the top eight programs bid about as well as the average club player and play worse than the average club player. Note that in my rankings, 10 is not perfect, as none of these programs has been tested against a perfect player.

PROGRAM FEATURES (ranked subjectively, by my own preferences)
Here, the ranking (awarding of *'s) and criticism are based on my own estimates of 1-user friendliness, 2-number of conventions, 3-extra features (takeback, custom hands, can I play N or E or W?, skill levels, closed room...), 4-bugs. I'm not very impressed by looks, sound, copy protection, and my partner's personality.
