Alekhine's Five-Queen Game

© Copyright 2002, Jim Loy

In My Best Games of Chess 1908 - 1923, Alexander Alekhine gave this amazing game in the notes to another game, calling it, "a game played by the author in Moscow, 1915." The current theory is that he made up this game, probably during analysis of this 9 Qg4 variation, which seems to have been new play.
