AT&T (and other companies) keeps calling me on the phone, to tell me that they can save me money. Can they save me money? I don't really care. I want them to stop bothering me.
I tell these people that I'm not interested. And if they keep going on, I hang up.
My relationship with these people has changed over the years. At first, I was bothered and unhappy. But, I could not bring myself to hang up. I would listen to the whole spiel, and then reject their offer. When they asked me why, I would just say that I wasn't interested. But they call me on weekends, or at night, or they wake me up in the morning. So, I've lost what little respect I ever had for them as human beings. I am beginning to think of them as scums of the earth.
I have vowed to only deal with a phone company that never calls me. That criterion sounds like my current phone company.
