I bought an electric razor, at K-Mart here in Bozeman, a Braun 150. I like it. But, K-Mart does not sell replacement blades and screens, at least the local K-Mart doesn't. I cannot find replacement blades and screens, anywhere in town. Why do businesses do that? Do they think that I will wear out my blades, and then buy a new electric razor, at their store? No, when I do buy a new electric razor, it will not be at K-Mart. (See addendum)
OK. My razor came with an order form for blades and screens. Is this normal? Don't the stores stock replacement parts any more. I guess this is fine, but I expected something handier. And I might buy a razor from K-Mart. Who knows.
Anyway, this story has a happy ending. Wal-Mart (next door to K-Mart) came to the rescue. They were out-of-stock before. But, now they have plenty of replacement blades and screens for my razor, and so do I.
Addendum:
I received email informing me that this is not K-Mart's fault. It is Braun's fault. Braun will mail replacement parts to you and me, and they won't mail parts to K-Mart. What? Sounds stupid to me. I might go for some other brand next time.
I've encountered that sort of thing before. For some items, a store must order a large quantity or nothing at all. But I can order one item (book, CD, whatever).
