Several times in my life, I have waited by the phone, all day, waiting for someone to return my call. I have two friends, Don and Bob, who never ever return a phone call. And there are many business and professional people who never ever return a phone call. I hate that. I suspect that the main reason that these people do not return calls is that the original call is probably not made for the purpose of benefitting the callee, it is made to benefit the caller. And not returning the call is the callee's way of saying screw the caller. It is a friendly way to do business.
