To Hell with Hastings Video

Recently, about half (about 4 of 8) of the videos that I have rented from Hastings Video have not been rewound. I was about to wish a painful death upon those people responsible, both the customers who are jerks, and the Hastings employees who don't care. Of course that is silly, so I take back my wish; sorry I over-reacted. But it is a bother to have to rewind before watching a movie. Rarely, I have sat there watching static (and wondering when the previews would begin) until the end of the tape, when it then rewound automatically.


Addendum:

It is almost two years since I wrote this complaint. While the tapes that I rent from other stores around town are normally rewound, I still have trouble with those I rent from Hastings. Of the last ten that I have rented, six were not rewound.

Another year has gone by, and I had to rewind both tapes that I rented earlier this week before watching them. They were both Star Trek episodes, and the same person probably failed to rewind them both. In my opinion, Hastings is grossly negligent when it comes to this situation, much worse than other video rental places in town. While I still browse, and do book searches there, I now rely on other book stores and Amazon.com. To hell with Hastings.
