Egyptian Hieroglyphic Dictionary (Part I, page 15)

Most of the above words are causatives (caus.). These are other words, normally verbs, with an prefix (sometimes ). The meaning of the word becomes, "cause to..." A few causatives are not quite that simple, the meaning being slightly different. Use this dictionary to compare the meaning of the original word with that of its causative.
