Prepositions In Egyptian

Direct genitive: noun noun=noun "of" noun (Note: noun noun is not always a direct genitive, as in subject object.

( before suffix pronoun): in (a place), in (time), for (a period of time), from (a place), with (something), as ("he is as a scribe"="he is a scribe").

: to [towards] (a place), against (someone), more than.

: of (genitive=noun of noun) [=feminine, =plural], to (dative=to a person).

( before suffix pronoun): upon (a place), because of, on account of, concerning, about.

: by.

: in front of, before (notice, the f is pronounced before the t).

: like.

: with, and.

: in the presence of.

: after.

The object of a preposition may be an entire sentence: sentence (for) sentence.
