I heard this same joke, in three different forms, over the years:
1. (Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour)
Tom: I hear that they have a really great ballet company in Moscow.
Dick: Bolshoi.
Tom: No, it's true.2. (I don't know where I heard this one)
first: The guy was a communist, a card-carrying...
second: Bolshevik.
first: No, it's true.3. (Benny Hill Show)
little girl: We were out driving, and we saw a girl cow and a boy cow.
interviewer: Bull.
little girl: No, it's true.
That's roughly how each joke went.
