Alcohol is a paradox, a depressant which makes you feel good. I can't figure that out.
A friend of mine thinks that the most fun he can have is to drink alcohol until he throws up. Strange, isn't it. But it makes a little sense. He drinks the maximum amount of alcohol, to give him the maximum alcoholic euphoria, before his body tells him that he's had too much. A logical kind of guy.
Why does his body make him throw up? You should probably be able to figure it out. But, I will tell you. His body makes him throw up because alcohol is a poison, a poison which can kill, cause blindness, or cause brain damage. Really. And that nauseous feeling means that he is in actual danger. If you drink to excess, this should scare you.
I know that people ignore physical risk. They smoke, they drink, they drive wrecklessly, often without seatbelts. Imagine, death from drinking, brain damage from drinking. It has happened. Pathetic, isn't it.
