Years ago, I was impressed by how smoothly Earl Anthony (all-time greatest bowler) bowled. I tried to bowl smoothly, like him.
Then, I saw Mark Hodges, of Butte, Montana, bowling. What a smooth bowler. He is a left-hander (as is Earl Anthony). I figured that Mark was about the smoothest bowler that I ever saw, in person.
Then, one night, I was bowling in a local league. And one of the other bowlers said to me, "You know, you're the smoothest bowler I've ever seen."
I am often reminded that when some people think of bowling, they do not mean ten-pins. They mean lawn bowling or duck pins. The above game is ten-pins.
