Several years ago, I was driving from Kalispell (Lake Blaine, actually) to Bozeman. It was a hot summer day. I was wearing a t-shirt and my tennis shorts. My window was wide open. Between Creston and Bigfork, on a narrow 2-lane road, a bumble bee flew in my window and disappeared into the leg of my shorts.
I looked in the rear view mirror (believe it or not), saw nobody behind me, and stopped the car. My car was an older Toyota, with excellent brakes. I pulled off the road, onto a turnoff. And I slowly climbed out of the car, trying not to squeeze the bee.
I pulled the fabric away from my leg. And out flew the bee. I suppose that she was as relieved as I was.
