Many years ago, all of my laundry was stolen, from a washer at a laundromat. I seldom stick around and protect my laundry. I figure that nobody wants my gray underwear. Anyway, it was never returned. I had to buy new socks and underwear. A year or so later, my laundry again disappeared from the same laundromat. This time, it was returned the next day, as it was taken by accident.
A few years ago, someone stole my dryer time. I put my clothes in one of the top dryers. And, when I returned, my clothes was in the bottom dryer, and were still wet.
In the same laundromat, the clock on the wall stopped. I told the maintenance guy, and he climbed on top of the dryers to replace the dead battery. There was no battery. Someone had stolen it. The maintenance guy threw the clock into the trash.
