This album is subtitled, "The music of Vince Guaraldi." George Winston is a piano player (often categorized as "New Age"), and a silly guy. This album is a treat for the fans of Peanuts TV specials and of Vince Guaraldi.
Years ago, George Winston became upset when he heard that the sheet music to Linus and Lucy was out of print. He contacted the publisher, and they showed no interest in bringing the sheet music back. In protest, George photocopied Linus and Lucy, and gave away tens of thousands of copies at his concerts. The publisher sued George, and lost. George can now legally give away Linus & Lucy. No one else can. And it remains out of print.
There are now a couple of versions of Linus and Lucy in sheet music. One is in the collection Charlie Brown's Christmas. I am told that this is not a very good version. I am not sure where to get a good version.
