I received this strange email:
Dear Jim,I have recently discovered your site for myself and since you invite comment I thought I would give mine on the couple of pages of yours I have read so far .With regards to the comments on psychics and psychic phenomena I would offer you this :You know when you are out and about and you get that weird feeling someone is watching you and you turn and sure enough someone is watching you, unmistakeably staring straight at you?A scientific explanation would be interesting don't you think?(or does the Amazing Randi prefer softer and infinitely more profitable targets like TV entertainers?oops, that's right, the Amazing Randi IS a TV and media entertainer).Oh yes and your 1 plus 1 equals 2 theory?Since there is NO such thing as nothing,Zero can only be a hypothesis not a fixed starting point for any accurate numerical calculation, perhaps that explains why pi can only be explained by a geometrical, NOT mathematical language. If mathematics was derived from nature as you assert then 'nothing'(Zero) is a natural phenomenon and clearly it isn't,its a theory.Coincidence?I have 1 brother and 1 sister ,we are all adopted .My eldest brother is 42yo,born February 16,I am 38 ,born September 12 ,my younger sister is 35,born September 12.We were all adopted at birth from different birth parents .As for 'the stability that resulted from building pyramids and other monuments benefited everyone in Egypt for thousands of years ',well that's just hysterical, patently a guess and opinion masquerading as fact.Keep up the 'science' ,you are hilarious .
He mentions my 1+1=2? article. His comment on the pyramids seems to be about Pi and the Great Pyramid, addendum #2. I responded:
You're pretty amusing yourself. The Skeptical Inquirer recently reported a test of people who were sometimes being stared at, and none of them could tell when they were being stared at and when they were not. There clearly is such a thing as zero. I currently have exactly zero coins in my pocket. What could be more precise than that?
Then I received these messages:
wow..gee ,if the Skeptical Inquirer says so then it must be true, it's obviously a scientific journal of immense standing in the scientific community, very much like your self and your oft quoted 'amazing randi'...
sorry jimmy boy,you lose..sleep well
it must annoy you that you are not clever
jimmy boy tsk tsk tsk..no reasoned argument?ask the amazing randi
it's been fun jim..people like you always are
hm..you attack others but can't handle it yourself
gotta go jimmy...enjoy your little world little man
had to block you jim..you are too hysterical..ciao
