We can
easily dissect a square into three squares of different sizes (two different
sizes), as shown on the left. It is a little more difficult to dissect a square
into three squares of the same size. On the right is my attempt, using nine
pieces (see Rectangle to Square Dissection). Can it
be done with fewer than nine pieces?
