Humor: The worst fears of
hockey fans were realized today, as superstar Jaromir Jagr was electrocuted by
the dreaded "illuminated puck" (See the photo on the left). A team
mate, German Titov (only NHL player who has been in outer space), who wished to
remain anonymous, was quoted as saying, "It was inevitable. I'm sorry it
was Jaromir. But it looked kinda awsome. Too bad he wasn't shooting. He might
have turned red." The NHL is considering pulling the plug on the
illuminated puck. But first they must determine if this incident is actually
bad for the sport. Ottowa goalie, Ron Tugnutt was quoted as saying, "I'm
not touching that puck." Experts expect much less stick-handling.
Commentator Howie Meeker is expected to criticize.
